Frisson (FREE-son) – Shiver. The tingles, the goosebumpy orgasm your body feels when listening to a particular piece of music.
what a rare gem (10.03.26)
I found this while finding sounds, and geez. this a find. like the perfect truffle you weren’t looking for.
huuungh wasn’t ready (09.30.26)
Seeing/hearing a classic in a new light is always, always a treat.
cover me up buttercup (09.27.26)
This is defo going on the Found Sound Sunday playlist next week. But had to do an early share:
how’d u got that grooove(09.24.26)
this kinda goes with my post what we take with us because i didn’t know about vulfpeck until i dated Will. and knowing Vulfpeck existed was that’s the best thing i got out of that weirdly brief relationship.
and vulfpeck is back with a new single this week:
such a groove. will defo be keeping an eye out for this new album.
if you got this far, and didn’t click the vid or you got this far and not in the know of Vulfpeck, they’re this funk kinda jam band. that’s the vibe they give, like homies are up in the garage just wailing finding their music, ya know. very much vibes of this gem:
but back to Vulfpeck, they’ve been around since 2011 hailing from Ann Arbor. check ’em out. they’re super freakin’ talented group of dudes having an absolute blast creating together and it’s great to see 🫧
half•alive | fully cooked (09.19.26)
half·alive was a band i stumbled across in 2020 with this number:
… & i was instantly hooked. i loved how they wanted to dance, had zero experience, hired a teacher and did it. that’s it. easy as pie, and now look at the shit they make (not that “still feel” isn’t spectacular in its own right. this is fuckin’ great work for their early days):
they’re just, ugh. love them. and i know i’m not getting into the fucking specifics about riffs and moods and how well the coreo in this shit is tight and i love it. but i just wanted to share, and do my own riff about theirs. i like it, and if you’re here with me, i think you might too, friend. 🫧
& yet nother gem is found (sep.18.0530)
Can we please take a moment to appreciate this MV? Like holy flippin’ cow bells, Batman. It’s peak choreo, solid track. Yes. (04.30.2026)
the rise of the playlist (03.18.26)
I made a new playlist. I saw a video recently about how the art of playlists has been lost with the garbage dump style playlists have evolved into. Most streaming platforms do it, make a 3-hour-long mood-based playlist that is ‘curated’ by AI. (There are still a few human-curated playlists) And I’d like to contribute to the human cause.
Thus, I have started curating again. Instead of tossing songs into a half-assed pile of similarities.
This one’s called “Partly Cloudy” and is part of the Frissions collection. Happy Listening 🎧
